The Minority in Parliament has vow to mobilize the youth of La against Akufo-Addo government if any case La General Hospital is not given the importance it deserves in the 2024 budget.
This came as an ultimatum to the delay in rebuilding the La General Hospital, which was demolished to make way for a new facility.
Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for La DadeKotopong, in an address on the floor of Parliament, Tuesday, 7 November 2023, complained that government’s sluggish progress on the new La General Hospital is alarming.
Meanwhile, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, MP for Odododiodio, said the Minority would not accept the 2024 Budget unless La General Hospital is included in the budget.
Responding to the concerns raised, the Majority in Parliament assured the House that the government is actively making all necessary preparations to commence the La General Hospital project.
The hospital delays have stirred discontent and frustration among the constituents.
