Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has reiterated the government’s dedication to building a modern and strong economy driven by digitalization.
In his New Year Message to the people of Ghana, he assured them that the government would continue to create opportunities for citizens to improve their lives.
Dr. Bawumia stated, “I want to reaffirm our government’s commitment to improving the lives of all our citizens,” and promised, “We will continue our efforts to build a modern and resilient economy, powered by digitalization.”
He also expressed the government’s determination to prepare young people for the future and to provide greater opportunities for individuals of all ages to pursue their dreams and aspirations. Dr. Bawumia emphasized that this was achievable.
Encouraging Ghanaians to maintain a sense of patriotism, he urged them to stay hopeful as the government implemented measures to alleviate their hardships.
Dr. Bawumia expressed confidence in showcasing the country’s democratic strength after the elections on December 7, 2024.
“I am excited and extremely confident about 2024. In order to succeed together, we must all dig deep and renew our sense of patriotism. Let us begin this New Year with hope and optimism about what we can achieve. We should be proud of our heritage and work together to elevate our beloved country to new heights in this election year,” he declared.
In emphasizing the importance of national development for stability and peace, Dr. Bawumia stressed, “While we observe and listen to news from our continent, Africa, and around the world, we must never forget that national development and our personal well-being can only exist where there is national stability, social cohesion, and peace. Welcome to 2024, the year of possibilities.”
