World Economics Ranked  Ghana 5th Best-Governed Country in Africa

Ghana has recently been recognized as the 5th best-governed country on the African continent and the top-ranked country in West Africa by World Economics, a research organization based in the United Kingdom. Apexnewsgh reports

The rankings are based on four main indexes: corruption perception, rule of law, press freedom, and political rights, with equal weight given to each criterion.

According to World Economics, the governance ranking is measured on a scale of 0-100, with 0 representing poor governance and 100 representing the highest level of governance. Grades range from A (very good) to E (very poor).

Mauritius claimed the top spot with a grade of B and an index of 69.3, followed by Namibia, South Africa, and Botswana. Ghana secured the 5th position with a grade of B and an index of 61.7, surpassing its West African counterparts.

On the other end of the spectrum, Libya, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Chad ranked at the bottom of the governance index with grades of E.
