In a bold claim, Atiah Figo Awonekai, the NPP parliamentary candidate for Bolgatanga Central, has asserted that his presence in the constituency has left incumbent MP Isaac Adongo reeling with anxiety. Apexnewsgh reports
Mr. Atiah engaged with the people and addressed their concerns, Mr. Adongo began to feel the pressure, prompting him to shuttle between Accra and Bolgatanga. “The mention of my name sends shivers down his spine,” Mr. Atiah declared, confident that his campaign has put Mr. Adongo on the defensive.
Addressing party supporters at the Jubilee Park in Bolgatanga, Mr. Atiah expressed his conviction that Mr. Adongo would flee the constituency by October or November.
He highlighted his connection with the constituents and his efforts to bring developmental projects to the area, including the Bolga-Sherigu-Naaga road, Soe-Zaare road, Zumbrungu-Zorkor road, and the Bolgatanga Mechanical Enclave.
With Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign tour wrapping up in the North, Mr. Atiah’s declaration has sent a clear message: the NPP is poised to take the Bolga seat, and Mr. Adongo’s time is running out.
However, message is for his constituents to vote for him as the Parliamentry candidate and Dr. Bawumia for President.
