Presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama has made a series of promises to the people of Upper East Region, including the construction of a modern stadium in Bolgatanga. Apexnewsgh reports
Mr. Mahama observed that the region is rich in sporting talent and requires a state-of-the-art facility to nurture and realize its potential.
During his campaign, Mahama emphasized the importance of a modern stadium, saying it will create jobs and help young talents harness their potential. He criticized the current administration’s astroturf projects, calling them substandard, and assured that his proposed stadium will be an ultramodern facility with all necessary amenities.
Mahama also pledged to secure funds for the equipment of the newly constructed clinical block at the Upper East Regional Hospital, blaming the current administration for the project’s non-completion. He promised to undertake other infrastructural projects, including road construction and dam rehabilitation, to improve agriculture and food security.
Furthermore, Mahama reiterated his resolve to hold the Akufo-Addo government accountable for alleged state capture and pervasive corruption. He believes the NPP government is pushing for Dr. Bawumia’s election to avoid accountability and urged Ghanaians to vote them out of office.
Mahama’s promises aim to address the region’s infrastructure needs, promote sports development, and ensure accountability in governance. His campaign focuses on empowering the youth, improving living standards, and fighting corruption.
