A fiery response has been issued by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication Bureau in Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Eastern Region, demanding that Member of Parliament Frank Annoh Dompreh retract and apologize for his scathing remarks against former President John Mahama. Apexnewsgh reports

During Dr. Bawumia’s Eastern Regional campaign tour, Annoh Dompreh labeled Mahama as a “curse on Ghana,” claiming that his attempt to be sworn in twice would bring a curse upon the nation.

He urged voters to reject Mahama in the upcoming election, describing the December 2024 polls as a choice between “light and darkness,” with Dr. Bawumia representing the light and Mahama symbolizing darkness.

The NDC has vehemently rejected Annoh Dompreh’s statements, calling him “arrogant” and accusing him of hallucinating. The party warned him to dread the “humiliating defeat” awaiting him in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency on December 7, 2024.

The NDC also mocked Annoh Dompreh’s “crocodile tears” shed before the people of Nsawam-Zongo, stating that they would not save him from defeat.

The NDC’s statement, dated August 10, was a direct response to Annoh Dompreh’s remarks, and the party is now awaiting his apology and retraction. The battle of words between the NDC and the MP has intensified the political climate in the region, with the December elections looming large.
