National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, recently shared a thought-provoking parable with the people of Naaga community in Navrongo Central. Apexnewsgh reports
He told the story of four donkeys tied together by a farmer, with food placed just out of reach. The first two donkeys struggled and died trying to access the food simultaneously. However, the remaining two donkeys learned from their mistake and decided to eat one after the other, ultimately surviving.
Asiedu Nketiah used this parable to convey a crucial message to NDC members: unity and patience are key to success. He emphasized that every position will be contested, but only one person can win.
Instead of fighting and potentially losing everything, members should support the chosen candidate to ensure the party’s victory. By working together and taking turns, NDC members can achieve their goals and secure parliamentary representation.
This message is particularly relevant ahead of the 2024 elections, as the NDC seeks to regain power. Asiedu Nketiah’s leadership and guidance will play a significant role in shaping the party’s strategy and unity. The NDC’s values of social democracy, equality, and fraternity will continue to drive their efforts to promote participatory and responsible government in Ghana.
The National Chairman recently visited various communities in the Navrongo constituency to connect with the people and understand their challenges.
He explained that holding a rally in Navrongo town wouldn’t allow him to grasp the community’s specific issues, such as road conditions, telephone networks, and access to clean water.
Instead, by visiting individual communities, Asiedu Nketiah aims to gain a deeper understanding of their needs. This approach enables him to be a witness to the challenges faced by the community, which will be crucial when their Member of Parliament presents development proposals to the government. Asiedu Nketiah assured the community that he will advocate for their needs and support their development.
As the newly elected National Chairman of the NDC, Asiedu Nketiah is focused on strategizing to bring the party into power. During his visit, he emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation within the party, using the parable of the donkeys to illustrate the need for collective progress.
Asiedu Nketiah’s message was particularly directed at NPP supporters, encouraging them to consider the NDC’s vision for the community’s development. By engaging with community members and listening to their concerns, the national chairman hopes to inspire change and bring about a better future for the people of Navrongo.
However, he further advised the people of Naaga and the entire Navrongo Central to vote for their 2024 Parliamentary Candidate Simon Aworigo and former President John Dramani Mahama.
Naaba Orlando Alebizire A. Awini, Paramount Chief of Naaga Traditional area who received the NDC national chairman wholeheartedly to his community also used the opportunity to outline some of his challenges
