Madam Georgina Lardi Azumah, the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for Garu Constituency, was filled with excitement as she recounted President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s historic visit to the Upper East Region. Apexnewsgh reports

It was the first time a sitting president had visited the region to personally thank the people for their unwavering support.

Reflecting on the visit, Madam Azumah emphasized the significance of President Akufo-Addo’s gesture, underscoring his deep appreciation for the region’s steadfast endorsement over the past eight years. The people of the Upper East Region were elated to have their contributions acknowledged by the President himself.

During her conversation, Madam Azumah highlighted the notable achievements President Akufo-Addo had brought to the region, particularly mentioning the transformative impact of the Free Senior High School (FSHS) education and Agenda 111. These initiatives had notably improved the lives of many, especially in areas grappling with poverty. FSHS had opened doors of opportunity for countless students, while Agenda 111 promised a revolution in healthcare delivery.

Confident in the continuation of President Akufo-Addo’s legacy, Madam Azumah expressed her faith in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s incoming presidential candidate. She firmly believed that Dr. Bawumia would build upon the progress made and lead the region to even greater heights.

As the December elections drew near, Madam Azumah’s enthusiasm was contagious. She was convinced that Ghanaians would recognize President Akufo-Addo’s accomplishments and would rally behind Dr. Bawumia to perpetuate the positive change.
