The Ghana Police Service has announced that calm has been restored in Sampa following violent chieftaincy-related clashes on September 10, which resulted in the death of one person and left several others injured.
In an official statement, the police confirmed that the Inspector-General of Police deployed reinforcement teams to the Bono Region to bolster local officers’ efforts in maintaining law and order. Security presence has since been strengthened, with intensified patrols in Sampa and surrounding communities aimed at preventing further disturbances.
