The confusion among the NPP and NDC Members of Parliament has been addressed today by the Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Bagbin.
The decision by the Member of Parliament for Fomena Andrew Asiamah brought the argument of who is Majority in Parliament between the two parties under control.
The Speaker of Parliament after reading the letter presented by Fomena MP requesting to be on the side of NPP disclosed that the Fomena MP’s wish has been granted.
However, he pointed out that NPP is confirmed majority side in the chamber of parliament.
Due to the ugly experience witnessed in the early hour of Jan 7, the NPP MPs numbering 70 decided to come as early as 4 am to occupy the right-hand side of the Speaker.
However, it appears the NDC MPs share a different idea with the speaker’s declarations of NPP as the majority in parliament.
