The Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament Isaac Adongo has shared a story of how he got the attention of the former President John Dramani Mahama.
Mr. Adongo was a guest speaker at the Youth Programme organized by the Upper East Regional Youth wing of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to welcome fresh students into the Tertiary Education Institution Network (TEIN) Bolgatanga Technical University Chapter.
Addressing the (TEIN) of NDC Bolgatanga Technical University Chapter and other party members present, Mr. Adongo shared his personal story experience to encourage students especially by way of encouraging them to put in more efforts in their party activities to enable them to capture power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said, he wasn’t known by members of the party but his activeness and contribution for the party was monitored by former President John Mahama.
Mr. Adongo believes that when you worked so hard, your work will knock doors for you.
“When I got the call I answered and the other side of the call was Dr. Omane Boamah who was then the Communication Minister in the John Mahama’s government. Then, he said Mr. Adongo congratulations. I said please what do I owe this congratulation and he said, is not easy to catch the eye of the President, President has seen you and has given an assignment for you”. He said
“You don’t need to knock doors, your work will knock doors for you. You don’t need to pursue anybody, your work will make a way and am surprised that His excellency John Dramani Mahama despite all his busy schedule has been listening and following and has recognized that I have something to offer in his government”.
