This marked the first time Dr. Bawumia had engaged with the people of Bawku in their local dialect.
Continuing his campaign in Binduri, Dr. Bawumia again spoke in Mampruli, offered his peaceful message to the beloved people of Binduri to love one another. He further advised them never to allow the opposition NDC intimidate or divide them as a people, urging the people to reject former President John Mahama’s bid to return to office.
He emphasized that the country deserves a new leader, not a “second-hand failed President.” Dr. Bawumia criticized the NDC’s poor performance, highlighting failed initiatives like SADA, which spent over Ghc 100 million with little to show for it.
He listed several areas where the NPP has outperformed the NDC, including agricultural growth, industrial growth, job creation, trade balance, and infrastructure development.
Dr. Bawumia challenged former President Mahama to a debate to compare their records, but claimed Mahama is “afraid.”
The Vice President’s message was clear: Ghanaians deserve better than a return to the past. “We have done better in every sector of the economy,” he said. “Let’s move forward, not backward.” Dr. Bawumia’s use of the local language and his emphasis on the NPP’s achievements resonated with the people, leaving a lasting impression on his campaign trail.
However, he appeals to the people of Kusag area to vote all the NPP Candidates in the Parliamentry ticket and himself as the next President.
