The North East Regional Women Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sumaya Ligbi has led a peaceful demonstration to the office of the Electoral Commission in the West Mamprusi Municipal to press home their demand after what the women in the area described as a twist of the Ghanaian right. They were captured holding placards with inscription like “Ghana is Democratic” We need peace” etc. The women who came out in their numbers with branded NDC party paraphernalia could not hide their feeling. The Regional women Organizer in an interview with Apexnewsgh.com expressed frustration at the events as she requested each and every one with evidence to present it as they await hearing from the national head office on the next line of action that would be taken.
She added, that the NDC has won the heart of Ghanaians and this was demonstrated in the recent election in the North East Region.
Adding, that a whole cabinet minister with all the resources at her disposal and with all the powers was kicked out, whiles another Minister also in charge of the North East Region has also been crushed in the Bunkurugu constituency.
