NPP Government Hands Over Pusiga-Bengula-Yariga-Widana Road Project to Pezoo Construction Ltd

Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, Upper East Regional Minister, has handed over the site for Phase 2 of the Pusiga-Bengula-Yariga-Widana road project to Pezoo Construction Limited, representing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government. Apexnewsgh reports

This significant development is set to upgrade the Yariga-Widana stretch, bringing relief and progress to the local communities.

Dr. Bin Salih urged Pezoo Construction Limited to resume work on the site and complete the project. He emphasized the government’s trust in the contractor, citing the thorough process that led to the contract award. The Minister assured regular site visits to monitor progress, ensuring the project stays on track.

To guarantee transparency and accountability, Dr. Bin Salih empowered the chiefs of Yariga Number One and Yariga Number Two to report any contractor absences to the Hon. DCE. This collaborative approach ensures the project benefits the community and enhances regional development.

As Regional Minister, Dr. Bin Salih has demonstrated his commitment to development, previously stating his readiness to work with traditional authorities to address regional challenges.

His focus on road development aligns with the government’s initiatives, such as the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), expected to create over 400 job opportunities in the Upper East Region.

Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, further commended Alhaji Abdul Wahab Hanan, NPP parliamentary candidate, for his unwavering commitment to developing the Pusiga Constituency. According to the Minister, Hanan has been proactive in discussing road development in Yariga areas one and two with Dr. Salih, demonstrating his dedication to improving the region’s infrastructure.

He said, as the CEO of Ghana’s Buffer Stock Company, Hanan has already made significant contributions to the constituency, including recruiting youth into security services and the Ghana Education Service, providing scholarships, and installing over 85 boreholes. His efforts have resonated with constituents, who are eager for change and development.
