The newly re-elected President of BONABOTO, Prof. Samuel Awinkina Atintono, has pledged to prioritize peace in the BONABOTO area and the entire Upper East Region.
He expressed his gratitude to Congress for their continued confidence in him and the re-elected national executives. Prof. Atintono assured Congress that he will work closely with relevant authorities and development organizations to address the longstanding chieftancy and land conflicts that have plagued the region. Additionally, he acknowledged the immense support from association members and past national presidents in driving the growth and progress of BONABOTO.
With the exception of Vice President Mr. Emmanuel Adongo Ayire and PRO Mr. Denis Akugre, who had reached their term limits and were replaced by Mr. Sylvester Abane and Mr. Stanley Akamiri Abopaam, the rest of the executives were re-elected for another two-year term.
The election of the national executives concluded the two-day 13th National Biennial Congress of the association, which took place in Tongo, the capital of the Talensi District in the Upper East Region.
