Those who take you to IMF cannot break the 8–Kennedy Agyapong
The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has said the New Patriotic Party cannot win the 2024 elections with the same faces taking the country to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a financial bailout. Engaging Party members at the ongoing NPP National Constituency Officers Welfare workshop at Koforidua in the Eastern Region Friday, Mr. Agyapong expressed disgust about the move by the government to seek a bailout from the IMF. “You are sitting here and you are smiling. IMF? What are we going to say again? Somebody texted me that I shouldn’t say anything about the IMF, I shouldn’t say anything about IMF? I will say it”. “Going into IMF is just like giving over power to NDC without a contest straightaway. Because the noise makes and I chew my own words back when I said NDC Went to IMF because of their mismanagement of the country or the economy”. “So, if NPP is going to IMF what am I going to say again? So, breaking the 8 is going to be tough. You cannot use the face of those who took us to IMF to break the 8, I won’t work. My message to you is simple, you cannot read my lips, and am not scared of anybody in the party, I will tell you the gospel truth.” Those who take you to IMF, those same faces cannot break the 8. A word to the wise is enough. I am very very sad today, when I saw the publication that we are going to IMF. You know, that is what Mahama was praying for and he has gotten his wish. It will not be easy, it will take hard work. So, prepare ourselves knowing there is a task ahead of us, and therefore, is only unity that will make sell through breaking the 8. ‘It is real!’ – Ken Agyapong’s boy tells NPP to ‘accept’ CDD’s unpalatable findings
• The NPP must accept a scathing research verdict on its performance so far • This is according to a journalist with pro-NPP outlet, Net2 TV • The party has described parts of the report as ‘propaganda’ Kwaku Annan, host of ‘The Seat’ show on Accra-based Net2 TV has tasked the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, to accept recent scathing findings from a governance report released by the Center for Democratic Development, CDD-Ghana. According to Annan, an employee of the station owned by Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong; much as the findings are not palatable, they did not come as a surprise to him seeing how bad especially the government and party communication has been in recent times. “I am not surprised at the findings in the report. It is a case of lack of communication on the part of the government and the New Patriotic Party,” he stated during a commentary on the mid-week edition of the show. “Take the CDD report and work at it or shut up. You are talking about breaking the eight, before you can consolidate power, it is not to embezzle money and be greedy. Some of you are wicked than death. Hate me if you like, I don’t care. He made reference to a protest by the NPP’s Director of Elections, Peter Mac Manu, who suggested that the report though welcome was high on propaganda than reflecting the realities on the ground vis-à-vis the work of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government. “I hear the party is challenging the report, I heard Peter Mac Manu, please Mr Mac Manu, you are a good friend, just take the report and work on it,” he added. Mac Manu told Joy FM in an interview monitored by GhanaWeb that, “The pre-election survey had I think 55 percent of Ghanaians saying that the government was on track in attacking corruption, that’s why I was asking Dr Selormey, in this one, they are saying there are three issues, and then the green was 39 or 30 and ‘same’ was 27. “So, I asked her what is the meaning of ‘same’? Was it in the ‘same’ that people thought that we are in the same track of attacking corruption? And if you add the yellow to it, then we are way above fifty-something. So, they should have explained to us the meaning of the ash colour which they noted as ‘same’,” Mac Manu said. Background A recent research conducted by the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) reveals that most Ghanaians do not believe that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has the capacity in dealing with corruption menace in the country. The 2400 adult respondents for the research which was carried out between May 3 to June 3 across the 16 regions of Ghana stated that, they are also less optimistic about the administration’s ability to reduce crime. Peter Mac Manu described the findings of CDD-Ghana’s research as propaganda being carried out by the government’s detractors. “If you look at the hullabaloo people are talking about you will be amazed. I mean look at what people are saying, it means that there is so much propaganda than the actual work that is going on. That’s the way that I see it from the result and we must look at actuals than propaganda,” he said. —Ghanaweb Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications. Ken Agyapong calls Suhuyini ‘foolish’, ‘stupid’; dares to spill Joy FM ‘corruption’ info
Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong has taken Tamale North MP Alhassan Suhuyini to the cleaners for dragging him before the Privileges Committee of the legislature in connection with his threats on Kumasi-based Luv FM’s Erastus Asare Donkor. Speaking on his radio station Oman FM, Mr Agyapong descended on his colleague MP and the Multimedia Group. “As for Suhuyini, the least said about him the better”, Mr Ayapong said, adding: “He goes ahead to drag me before the Privileges Committee? He is a foolish MP. So stupid”. “Left to him, the country would have burnt to ashes. I am so disappointed in him.” The Chairman of the parliamentary select committee on defence and the interior, said Mr Suhuyini “is always politicising issues”. He also expressed reservations with his own party for keeping quiet on certain issues about which the actions taken against him could have also been visited on others on the other side of the aisle. “I am also disappointed in NPP because when Muntaka alleged that the Supreme Court judges are corrupt, no one suggested that he should be dragged before the Privileges Committee”. “You all can go ahead to expel me from parliament if you so wish. Do you think I rely on what I make as an MP? No one can silence me,” he added, Mr Agyapong then turned his guns on Joy FM, saying: “I am surprised at how shameless Joy FM is”. “Before Joy FM will have the moral right to report me, it should first write an apology letter to the families that lost their relatives in the Ejura incident, as well as the individuals who sustained various degrees of injury.” “I stand by my words: they are all corrupt. Kwasi Twum claims he did not tell me in my office that the staff of Joy FM is threatening to sabotage the government because we no longer take care of them. I dare Kwesi Twum to come again.” “If Joy FM pushes me to the wall, I will expose all the information I have gathered about them. I’m going all out. You cannot use the media and police to silence me. I will continue to speak the truth. How can a media house be this corrupt at the detriment of its responsibility to relay the truth? If there will be any disturbances in the country, it’ll arise from Joy FM”, he said. —classfm Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications. The business mogul explained that it is the Mineral Commission that deploys people to mine particular places for gold. He continued that though it’s a governmental institution, the government has only small control over it. Most Ghanaian workers are thieves, employers should pay particular attention to them–Ken Agyapong
The Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Agyapong has said a majority of Ghanaian workers are thieves and they steal from their employers to amass wealth for themselves. He however used the medium to call on all employers to pay serious attention to their workers to enable them to prevent the chances of collapsing their businesses. Mr. Agyapong made the revelation in a television programme monitored by Apexnewsgh.com “I have a project I am doing at Tema, one of the boys who watches over the project told me that thieves come around so I should fix lights all over the place. Meanwhile he was the one planning with the thieves to steal the iron rods and other materials meant for the project,” he said. He added “I got him arrested. Let me state without fear that most Ghanaian workers are thieves. They steal from their employers and amass wealth for themselves.” “Politicians steal and carry the money out of the country but the civil servants and other workers are doing worse than the politicians,” Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana/Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications. Kennedy Agyapong renews attack on ‘fake pastors’, promises more revelations
Like most Ghanaians, he believes in the existence of a supreme being who created heaven and earth and that anyone who questions His existence has some mental issues. His belief in God stems from his ability to wake up from his sleep as well as knowledge from the theological studies he underwent in a United States university. “I personally think that anyone who doesn’t believe in Ghana has mental issues. There is God but I don’t want Obinim to teach me there is God. I don’t want anyone to teach me that there’s God. The fact that I sleep and wake up shows me that there is a superior being that controls things,” Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central said on Net 2 TV. He reiterates that he has no issues with anyone who belongs to a faith and worships God. What he abhors, however, is the manner in which some people practice their faith. He is convinced that while some genuine pastors exist, there are charlatans who parade as men of God and have majored in fleecing unsuspecting people of their monies. He has thus taken it upon himself to campaign against such persons. Last year, he waged a strong campaign against some popular pastors in the country but he says he had to end it due to pressure from certain quarters. “There were so many calls from so many people telling me [to] stop. They were putting pressure on me to stop but look at what they keep doing. I want to hit them hard this time,” he said. Kennedy Agyapong says he is still not happy with developments in the religious space and will renew his attack on the so-called men of God. On Net2 TV on Monday, March 15, Bishop Daniel Obinim and his wife Florence Obinim became casualties of the reignited attacks. Their congregation also had their share of the abuse, with words like ‘lunatic’ and ‘sick’ being used to describe them. He advised them to take lessons from the parable of the talents and work hard if they want to achieve success. He says that posterity will judge him as someone who fought against fake pastors “They are all lunatics. After all the campaign we’ve done here, you allow someone deceive you? They are all lunatics. We will all die, I will die and Obinim too will die. It’s sickening that this is happening all over Africa. One day people will remember Kennedy Agyapong, one politician who stood against fake pastor,” he said. “The significance of the parable of talent is that God helps those who help themselves. If you will sit and wait for God to send manna from Heaven, you will always carry sugarcane to Obinim’s church. You are sick, wake up, clean yourself and find something doing. The sugarcane you bought from Obinim, you could have sold something with it. You are sick and need prayers. Read Elijah and Elisha’s story about false prophets and wake up. We are believing in God so much that we are over-reliant on God.” On Florence Obinim, he said, “I met Obinim’s wife in Kumasi. Her eyelash could extend from here to the TV. Her dressing doesn’t show someone who is married to a pastor.” Please contact Apexnewsgh.com on email apexnewsgh@gmail.com for your credible news publications. Contact: 0555568093
I’m the first person who will suffer huge casualties, if we go to opposition–Kennedy Agyapong
“NPP people should listen to me. Well, if we go to opposition, I’m the first person who will suffer huge casualties, therefore I’m not going to sit down for anybody to make a mistake to send the party to opposition. Don’t think that I’ll remain silent, I will definitely talk after all the ministers are appointed and approved by Parliament. If the NPP like, let them repeat the same mistakes and see if they can control me. No, no, no, they can’t, if they do. So their fixation on power at this early stage of Akufo Addo’s second term must be shelved. MP for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong has cautioned The Assin Central Member of Parliament, Ken Agyapong who was very furious told Oman FM in an interview monitored by Apexnewsgh.com condemned growing tension building up by supporters of Alan Kyerematen the trade minister, and Vice-President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia over who succeeds President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo just after the general election, stressing that if the campaign continues between supporters of the two, it will send the party to opposition. “It is too early to start jostling for who’ll succeed President Akufo Addo when he’s even yet to form his government for the second term. We should learn from our past mistakes and stop disintegrating the party with our ambitions, it will not help the party.” However, the General Secretary of the governing NPP, John Boadu said the party will not tolerate the testing of waters now by party bigwigs who have ambitions of leading the party as Flagbgearer into the 2024 Presidential election. I had always thought Akufo-Addo was a ‘serious radical’ man until I got closer – Ken Agyapong
Hon Kennedy Agyapong has said that prior to having a very personal relationship with the President of Ghana, he had always thought the President was a radical. According to him, his perception of the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo changed entirely during one of his visits to his house when he was then an opposition leader. Kennedy who made this known in an interview which was monitored by MyNewsGh.com said the President asked what it will take to prevent witch-hunting former Appointees like it has been the case over the years. He said he was then suffering as a businessman because the NDC was not making life better for him so he told Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo that it was imperative that when the NPP comes they also stifle the growth of NDC businesses. But the President outlined why it’s unnecessary. Kennedy Agyapong indicated that he is not shocked that taking over power, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has become very gentle since he took over power to the shock of every Ghanaian who had the perception that he was going to be radical. He said he won’t be shocked that the country will not put any former government appointee behind bars but will find a way of making the individual pay the state.
