COVID: Workers of Tamale Teaching Hospital to withdraw their services on Friday

All doctors, nurses, laboratorians, Pharmacists, Orderlies, and security workers of the Tamale Teaching Hospital COVID-19 management team to withdraw their services on Friday. The Member of Parliament for Builsa North Constituency James Agalga of the Upper East Region, said he is heartbroken with the recent insecurity happenings in the country. Mr. Agalga who was speaking in an interview on Bolgatanga based A1 radio’s ‘Daybreak Upper East’ monitored by Apexnewsgh.com lamented that the unprecedented attacks, robbery and murder the country has witnessed recent times is becoming alarming. He said, even though all these murders and attacks are witnessed under the leadership of President Akufo Addo, no single soul had been brought to justice as a result of the heinous crime. However, Mr Agalga also blamed the Police for not helping matters, claiming that most of the vigilantes that are been trained are responsible for the ongoing robbery and attacks. He believes the moral of Police Service in the very  is very low, “they speak to me every time because am their ranking member, so I know how low their morale is”. The mode of recruitment must be transparent, because they always recruit vigilantes just like the likes of DOUBLE and co as National Security officials” Mr. Agalga also pointed that murder and armed robbery has seen an increase to about 27% percent compared to the prevailing situation during the John Dramani Mahama government in 2016. “I presented the evidence to the Speaker in Parliament, murder and armed robbery has increased to about 27% compared to the prevailing situation in 2016.” “Lives are been lost every now and then.” He added However, he called on government to improve the general security situation of the country to enhance citizen’s protection. “Let us improve general security situation of our country, so that citizens will be protected”
