At least over Six persons have been arrested by the police following their alleged involvement in the death of an aged man and accused of being witches in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region. Apexnewsgh.com report
According to information gathered, the death of the two aged occurred when the accusers (some community members) persuaded them to take in some concocted substance prepared by a fetish priest in the area just to prove their innocence.
The information said, the aged man died instantly after taking the concoction, while the aged woman died a while later.
Meanwhile, when Apexnewsgh.com contacted Mr. Thomas Duanab Wuni Pearson, the Talensi District Chief Executive as the father of the district following the disturbing news. He confirmed, that he heard that some two persons have died as a result of an accusation of witchcraft, but he pointed out, that he is far away in Accra and has not received an official detailed report of what transpired.
The Police are seriously on top of the matter.
