During a national address to mark 31 years of the fourth republican journey, President Akufo-Addo stated that Ghana’s economy is making a strong comeback.
He emphasized the importance of elections in democracies and mentioned that this year, as in previous occasions, they will go to the polls to elect the President and his successor.
The President called for fair and transparent elections, urging all stakeholders to respect the rules and regulations governing the electoral process. He emphasized the need to consolidate Ghanaian democracy and maintain the country’s reputation as a model of democracy in Africa.
The President acknowledged that the challenges facing the nation cannot be solved overnight, but expressed optimism that democratic governance can withstand difficult circumstances.
He highlighted his lifelong commitment to fighting for individual and collective rights and expressed satisfaction that the nation’s adherence to democracy remains strong.
