The Forum has been working tirelessly since 2020 to prevent election-related conflicts in the subregion. With just 60 days left until the election, their presence in Ghana is timely and crucial.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reaffirmed its commitment to a peaceful election, recognizing that success hinges on groundwork and preparation. Cooperation among stakeholders, particularly with the Electoral Commission (EC), is vital for a fair and tranquil process.

Ghana’s upcoming election has garnered significant attention, with various political parties pledging their commitment to peace. The National Peace Council, in collaboration with the Catholic Relief Services, has organized dialogues to promote civilian-security agency relations and prevent violent extremism.

Key stakeholders, including the NDC, New Patriotic Party (NPP), People’s National Convention (PNC), Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), and Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), have reiterated their dedication to peaceful elections.

The collective commitment to peace and cooperation among stakeholders is seen as crucial in determining the success of the electoral process as Ghana prepares for its December elections.
