NABCO: Relieve all the trainees of their current duties and allow them to exit the Service- the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs
NABCO beneficiaries under the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs have issued a letter to its registrars to, with immediate effect, asking all trainees to vacate their posts. Apexnewsgh.com report The letter issued was signed by the Director, Human Resource Management of the Ministry, Dedaa Wiredu Agyei, and copied to the sector minister said, this is because the programme had ended in October 2021. The letter says, “This is to kindly remind you that, the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme ended at the end of October 2021. Unfortunately, the information reaching the Hon. Minister currently indicates that some Trainees are still at post. “You are kindly requested to relieve all the trainees of their current duties and allow them to exit the Service,” the statement said in part. Meanwhile, NABCO beneficiaries after completing their 3-year programme were instructed by the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to remain at their various post. UER: Ban on movement of poultry and poultry products in Zaare
Ministry of Food and Agriculture Veterinary Service Directorate in the Upper East Region has banned the movement of Poultry products in and around Zaare in the Bolgatanga Municipality. According to the Regional Veterinary, the announcement was as a result of the confirmation of an outbreak of Avian Influenza Subtype H5 in a farm at Zaare in the Bolgatanga Municipality. However, all staff of the veterinary services in the region and security personnel are entreated to act accordingly to prevent the spread of the Disease in the Region. “Following the confirmed outbreak of the Avian Influenza Subtype H5 in a farm at Zaare in the Bolgatanga Municipality, the Regional Directorate of the Veterinary services has hereby placed a ban on movement of poultry and poultry Products in and out of Zaare in the Bolgatanga Municipality, This action is being taken in order to protect the poultry industry in the upper east region”. Breaking News: Avian influenza hits Upper East Region
Ministry of Food and Agriculture Veterinary Service Directorate in the Upper East Region has announced an outbreak of Avian influenza (AI) a disease of viral etiology that ranges from a mild or even asymptomatic infection to an acute, fatal disease of chicken, turkey, guinea fowl, and other avian species, especially migratory waterfowl. Apexnewsgh.com Reports Ghana reported the current outbreak on the 7th July 2021 at a farm in Nungua in the Greater Accra region, the outbreak has since been reported in 11 regions of the country. On the 17th of January 2022, a farmer from Bolga Zaare reported of a sudden deaths of 41 birds out of a flock of 500, a team of veterinary staff were immediately dispatched to the farm to investigate the cause of deaths, while on the farm another 30 died, Postmortem conducted on two dead and two live birds revealed cyanosis and hyperemia of the comb and wattles. Congested carcasses, haemorrhages in the Proventriculos, necrotic enteritis, ascites and greenish intestinal contents. Initial test with AI rapid Diagnosis test kit proved positive.
