Owusu Afriyie follows Alan resignation footsteps

The Agric Minister Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto submitted his resignation letter to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House today, Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

The Agric has resigned to continue with his ambition of contesting for the presidential position ahead of the 2024 election, on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

However, receiving his resignation letter, President Akufo-Addo accepted his decision and wished him well..

Dr Akoto is the second Minister to resign from office this year after Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen, this beginning of the year.

Meanwhile, Mr Kyerematen’s resignation officially takes effect from Monday, 16 January 2023.

Dr. Akoto is yet to address the nation.
