Report convened has it that the Finance Ministry’s financial clearance for Ghana Education Service (GES) to recruit newly trained teachers or graduates into service this year expires December 31, 2020.
This was disclosed by Ghana Education Service official in an interview.
The Deputy Director-General (DDG) for GES, Mr Kwabena Bempah Tando announced the recruitment deadline speaking on Joy Prime’s Beyond the Headlines show with host Daniel Dadzie.
Mr Kwabena Tandoh said his outfit is working tirelessly to ensure that 6,000 university graduates are recruited before the end of December because the financial clearance demands that it employs before the said deadline.
GeorgewebAccording to him, the Ghana Education Service will before December 31, 2020, announce the recruitment of university graduates who had completed the one-year compulsory and passed the teachers licensure examination.
“Our hope is that we recruit the 6,000 university graduates before the end of December 31, because our financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance is to ensure that we employ before December 31, 2020”, he noted.
The GES staff further advised university graduates seeking to be employed into service to pay attention to job announcements put out by the GES in terms of what criteria the financial clearance is allowed for recruitment.
Meanwhile, the recruitment of graduates who completed Colleges of Education in 2019 and had passed the teacher licensure examination and completed national service is currently ongoing and will end October 30.
