Breaking News: Pastor whose church was engaged in child abuse is to spend one week in Navrongo with 3 others

Pastor Kwebena Akongyaane Atogpelipe the man whose church is popularly known as “Jesus Kantamayoko Spiner” in Bongo Balungu of the Bongo District in the Upper East Region will be spending one week at the Navrongo Central Prisons as part of his punishment for the child abuse offense he and his church committed. “Jesus Kantamayoko Spiner” pastor, will be spending the one week together with other 3 members of his church who also pleaded guilty to the abuse offense.

Below is break down of today’s Judgement:
6 persons were arrested on Friday, July 7, 2023, by the Bongo District Police Command after the unfortunate scene was reported by the platform, and in Court today, Pastor Kwabena and others pleaded guilty to the charge of physical abuse of a child.
The judge who sat on the abuse case, in his judgment fined the woman who was swinging the child 3,000, whiles the pastor’s wife will pay 2,400.

Meanwhile, all four men including the pastor are to pay 2,400 each and still spend one week in Navrongo cells.
The reason for not imprisoning the women is that they have children below 2 years who are still breastfeeding.
Efforts are underway to pay the respective fine which amounts to 15,000 cedis.
After the payment, all four men will immediately be taken to the Navrongo Central Prisons where they will be spending the next one week.

The judgment was given by the District Magistrate H/W Mawukoenya Nutekpor at the Bolgatanga District Court.
