Organized Labour has demanded a 75% increment in base pay for the year 2024.
The Organized Labour said the proposed increment is as a result of the high cost of living experience in the country in recent times. The demand was made during start of negotiations on Monday, 13 November 2023.
However, upon further deliberation, they were able to cut down their proposal to 60 per cent but the government counter-offered just a 15 per cent.
The unions rejected the 15 percent proposal by government.
