The government has reassured the people of Ghana that the 2024 general elections will be fair, transparent, and free from any violence.

However, the government has also issued a warning to anyone planning to cause trouble during the elections that they will face legal consequences.

The statement was made in response to a social media publication claiming that the President intends to make changes to the leadership of the Ghana Armed Forces in order to use the military to intimidate citizens during the elections.

The government has denied these allegations, stating that any changes to the armed forces leadership would be made in accordance with the Constitution and without political bias.

The government emphasized that the armed forces are a respected institution known for their professionalism and that the current administration will continue to ensure their impartiality.

The public is urged to ignore these baseless claims and not to spread unrest within the armed forces.
