The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has launched a scathing attack on the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, accusing them of discrimination in the recruitment of security service personnel and awarding of government contracts. Apexnewsgh reports

Speaking at his campaign launch ahead of the 2024 general election, Dr. Ayine alleged that only card-bearing members of the NPP are considered for government jobs, including in the security services.

He claimed that this discriminatory practice extends to farmers, who are denied access to fertilizers if they are not NPP members.

Dr. Ayine contrasted this with the inclusive approach of former President John Dramani Mahama, who ensured that all Ghanaians, regardless of party affiliation, had access to government services and contracts.

The former Deputy Attorney General emphasized that public institutions should serve all citizens, not just members of the ruling party.

Dr. Ayine’s speech highlighted the NPP’s alleged politicization of the civil service and security agencies, warning that this has created a Ghana that is undesirable and exclusionary.

He urged voters to reject this discriminatory approach and elect a government that serves all Ghanaians equally.
