In a significant development pertaining to the parliamentary election results in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has successfully obtained an interlocutory injunction, effectively halting the ongoing re-collation process. Apexnewsgh reports

The re-collation, which had commenced on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Tesano Police Depot, was initiated due to discrepancies that arose in the figures recorded on the pink sheets. The Electoral Commission (EC) had undertaken the re-collation to address these inconsistencies.

Scheduled to continue on Friday, December 13, the exercise faced an unexpected interruption when the returning officer for the EC announced the court’s injunction, leading to the cessation of the re-collation process.

Mr. Edudzi Tamakloe, a member of the NDC’s legal team, addressed the media following the announcement, confirming the court’s involvement in the matter. “We have served the Electoral Commission with an application of interlocutory injunction to prevent the Electoral Commission from proceeding with the re-collation exercise,” he stated.

The court is set to hear the interlocutory injunction case on December 20, 2024, as the NDC continues to navigate the legal landscape surrounding the election results.
