During a Parliament committee hearing on the leaked tape regarding the removal of Inspector General Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, security analyst Adam Bonaa has suggested that one of the witnesses, CoP Alex Mensah, undergo a psychological evaluation.

Mr. Bonaa emphasized that he doesn’t imply any wrongdoing on CoP Mensah’s part, but his inconsistent responses and other factors warrant a thorough assessment. This recommendation was made during an interview on Starr Today with Joshua Kodjo Mensah monitird by Apenewsgh.com on Friday, September 1, 2023.

“I think looking at the senior citizen’s appearance yesterday and today I would have wished, I am not saying there is anything wrong. But too many inconsistencies make me believe that they should have allowed some psychological evaluation of the CoP”.

“Because you can see even yesterday he flip-flopped, inconsistencies at one point he will agree at another point he will disagree. If you are observing from afar. You will begin to ask yourself questions. Today he seems to have confirmed my suspicions that there is something wrong because something he said yesterday, today when they asked he said no, no I didn’t say that,” The security expert said.

“At a point Atta Akyea seems to have confirmed my point of suspicion that now you have gotten back your memory. I am sure you remember Akyea made that comment “Oh you have gotten back your memory.”

Embattled Commissioner of Police (COP), Alex Mensah, has made a startling revelation, accusing the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akufo-Dampare, of orchestrating the recording and subsequent release of a conversation between Mensah and Bugri Naabu. The discussion allegedly involved a plot to remove the IGP from his position.

Mensah’s claims were brought to light during his second appearance before a parliamentary committee tasked with investigating his alleged involvement in the purported scheme against Dr. Akufo-Dampare.

In a surprising turn of events, Bugri Naabu, who had previously appeared before the committee, admitted to recording the conversation and sharing it with the President after portions of the audio became public.

However, COP Alex Mensah, speaking on the second day of his committee appearance, presented intelligence suggesting that it was, in fact, the IGP himself who orchestrated the recording and subsequent leak to the public.
