The journalists named in the lawsuit are Veronica Commey, Saddick Adams, Christopher Nimley, and Patrick Osei Agyemang, also known as Countryman Songo.

In addition to the journalists, the media entities Omni Media Limited, Angel Broadcasting Network, and Multimedia Group have also been served with a writ. They have been given a deadline of eight days to respond and enter an appearance in court.

Paintsil, who has had a successful career as a player and now as a coach, is taking a stand against what he believes to be false and damaging statements made about him.
