In a passionate appeal to the people of Zorkor-Gamborongo in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region, Madam Alice Ndego, District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), urged citizens not to allow politicians to influence their decisions with money. Apexnewsgh reportsÂ

As Ghana prepares for its 2024 elections, Madam Ndego emphasized the importance of informed decision-making.
“Our work at the NCCE is to sensitize citizens on their responsibilities,” she explained. “With just a week to go before the elections, our theme ‘Together we can build Ghana, so get involved’ couldn’t be more relevant.”
The NCCE has identified four key focus areas for the 2024 elections: monetization in politics (vote buying), misinformation and disinformation, religious intolerance, and electoral violence. Madam Ndego cautioned that allowing politicians to influence voters with money could lead to the election of incompetent leaders.
With politicians engaging in door-to-door campaigns, Madam Ndego warned citizens to be mindful of their decisions. “Don’t accept money from politicians, and don’t feel obligated to vote for someone just because they gave you money,” she advised.
She believes by staying informed and making informed decisions, the people of Zorkor-Gamborongo can play a crucial role in shaping Ghana’s future.
