In recent times, some Chiefs are not respected by their subjects because they engaged themselves in some activities below what is expected from them as traditional rulers. Greed and selfish interest has become the other of the day in some parts, some communities are not comfortable with their traditional ruler, which in one way or another other has resulted in some conflict in most areas.

Further offering his candid advice to his colleagues Chiefs, when asked by the host the role chiefs should play in maintaining peace in their communities, Kotintaabig Chief responded by saying, “if you are a Chief, do not meddle into issues that will bring your reputation down as a Chief. Yes, we all want to live a decent life but that decent life must be earned through respect. Don’t go into areas that will dent your reputation, if you go into areas that will dent your reputation that’s where you are in trouble. If your people begin dragging you as a Chief to court, then you the Chief should be careful, because is a signal to you”. He stressed
