A prominent member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe, has described the Electoral Commission (EC) under Chairperson Jean Mensa as the “greatest threat” to Ghana’s democracy. Apexnewsgh reports 

Dr. Tamakloe made the pronouncement at a forum organised by the Crusaders Against Corruption in Accra, themed “The Scareface of Corruption in Ghana,”

Dr. Tamakloe who did not hide his opinion criticised the Commission for attempting to transfer names from the voter register between constituencies, describing it as a criminal act that “must not be tolerated

He pointed out that these actions undermine the credibility of the electoral process and threaten the foundation of Ghana’s democracy.

Dr. Tamakloe’s strong words garnered attention from the audience, as he reiterated the importance of a transparent and fair electoral system to ensure each citizen’s voice is heard. He called for accountability and urged the EC to uphold its mandate to serve the people impartially.
