In a bold move, former President John Dramani Mahama has declared war on corruption, vowing to hold the current administration accountable for alleged misdeeds if he wins the presidency. Apexnewsgh reports
Speaking in the Upper East Region, Mahama pointed a finger at President Nana Akufo-Addo and his family, accusing them of squandering state resources.
“The wealth of the people has been misappropriated, and I will ensure that Akufo-Addo and his family answer for their actions,” Mahama declared, his voice firm with determination.
He painted a grim picture of a nation suffering under the weight of corruption and mismanagement, with the economy and citizens bearing the brunt. But Mahama offered a beacon of hope, promising to restore justice and accountability.
“My presidency will be a corrective force, tackling corruption head-on and ensuring those responsible face the law,” he pledged. And in a surprise move, Mahama extended his anti-corruption drive to his own ranks, vowing to root out corruption within the NDC.
“My commitment to fighting corruption knows no party bounds. If my appointees are found guilty, they will face the consequences,” he stated, sending a clear message that no one would be above the law under his watch.
