The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has directed all staff to report to work tomorrow, Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Apexnewsgh reports
This follows the termination of the 60% sale of SSNIT hotels to Rock City Hotels, meeting the demands of Organised Labour.
In a statement issued on Monday, July 15, 2024, JUSAG President, Mr. Samuel Afotey Otu, announced the directive, stating, “Having had our demands met by the Board of SSNIT, Organised Labour decided to call off the ongoing strike.” He added, “ALL workers are, therefore, directed to report to work tomorrow, Tuesday, 16th July 2024.”
The NEC of JUSAG expressed gratitude to the staff of the Judicial Service and workers of Ghana for their support in safeguarding their retirement incomes. Leadership of Organised Labour will engage with the Board of SSNIT to resolve any outstanding issues regarding the management of the Trust.
The strike’s suspension marks a significant development in the dispute, and staff are expected to resume their duties tomorrow.
