President Mahama Appoints Gyamfi Felix as Acting Director-General of National Service Authority

In a move aimed at strengthening youth development and national service delivery, President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Gyamfi Felix as the acting Director-General of the National Service Authority, effective January 22, 2025. Apexnewsgh reports

This appointment is made under Article 195(1) of the Constitution and the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), and is subject to the required advice from the governing board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., Secretary to the President, has urged Mr. Felix to confirm his acceptance within 14 days. President Mahama extended his best wishes to Mr. Felix, expressing confidence in his ability to guide the Authority in its mandate.

Key officials, including the Vice President, Chief of Staff, and the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, have been notified of the appointment. As the National Service Authority continues to play a crucial role in youth development and national service delivery, Mr. Felix’s leadership is expected to make a significant impact.
