Two Ghanaian Hajj Pilgrims Die in Saudi Arabia, One Gives Birth

Two Ghanaian pilgrims have passed away in Saudi Arabia due to health complications, while another pilgrim has given birth in the Holy City of Mecca. Apexnewsgh reports

According to Chairman of the Hajj Board, Alhaji Ben Abdullah Banda, the deceased pilgrims, believed to be from Damongo in the Savannah region, passed away on June 9 and June 12, respectively.

The two pilgrims have been buried in accordance with Islamic customs. Over 4,000 Ghanaian pilgrims are currently in Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj ritual.

Despite the two deaths, the Hajj Board Chairman reported a positive development, stating that a Ghanaian pilgrim woman gave birth to a healthy baby in Mecca on Wednesday.

“So far so good, except that we have had two deaths, two of our pilgrims have died. And then we have had one delivery also, one of our pilgrim women has delivered a bouncy baby,” Alhaji Ben Abdullah Banda said this during media interview.
