A storm is brewing in the Builsa North Constituency as two NDC MMDCE aspirants, Ignatius Akaboka and Imoro Abudu, have submitted a petition to the NDC MMDCE vetting committee, the Upper East Regional Chairman, and the Regional vetting committee. Apexnewsgh reports
The petition alleges suspicion of bias and corruption in the vetting process, as well as dissatisfaction with the delay in releasing the results.
According to the petition, the two aspirants accuse the Upper East Regional Minister, who also serves as the NDC Regional secretary, of bias. They are calling for him to recuse himself from all processes until an investigation is conducted to determine the true reflection of the results.
The aspirants are demanding the release of the true copy of the vetting results with immediate effect, as well as other reliefs. They claim that the delay in releasing the results has led to speculation that some qualified candidates have been removed and replaced with unqualified ones.
The Upper East Regional Minister and the Regional Chairman are yet to respond to the petition and provide further directives. The situation is being closely watched, as it has the potential to impact the MMDCE selection process in the Builsa North Constituency.
