Mathew Silas Amoah, the Bolgatanga East Unopposed Parliamentary Candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said, he will be able to blend his business with politics. Apexnewsgh.com report Mr. Amoah who spoke to Ngamegblam Chidozie Stephen of Apexnewsgh.com said: “Every occupation has its own occupational hazards. “Sometimes when you are involved in your business so much than politics, you risk it. That is why I made the argument that all our MPs run businesses but they don’t bring it to the public domain, because you don’t risk it being attacked. It could be attacked politically”. “So, as much as we can, we always want to hide our businesses, not that we are shying away from making it Known to people but in terms of competitiveness, it can cause a lot of problems. So, that’s why we sometimes slow down in what we do and carry on politics”. How many MPs in the region do you know their businesses apart from them being MPs? They will tell you we are farming and all that. But behind that, there are a lot of businesses they do on the side but they don’t bring it to the public domain. So, I think because is Mathew Amoah, because am young they should be forcing me to come and say what I do and I will come and say it. However, Mr. Amoah advised that anyone who has a contrary view about his business should report him to the appropriate authorities “The laws are there in the country and if you feel somebody is doing something fishy, you have the right as a citizen to report to the right authorities. So, am a businessman” Explaining further, Mr. Amoah told Apexnewsgh that, there was a campaign against his personality and people were surprised that somebody could out of his pocket help people with such an amount of money. They thought it was not normal, so they wanted to find something to attach to that. “But what I know is that, if they say someone has gone for a ritual, they don’t spend his money, he keeps the money for himself. But I have never seen anywhere they say the way this person is given out money, he has gone for money ritual”. I work hard, I have been in a situation of poverty, I have gone through rounds of poverty, my father, mother, and i. So, when someone comes to tell me I am unable to pay my school fees, I know how it feels and I don’t mind giving you my last pesewas to go hungry. Because if I want to tell you what we go through and God has blessed us, we have every right to do what we are doing” Mr. Amoah stressed Source: Apexnewsgh.com/Ghana For publication please kindly contact us on 0256336062 or Email apexnewsgh@gmail.com
Bolga East: I wouldn’t leave as an MP in Bolga East without one or two factories in the constituency—Mathew Silas Amoah
A young development-oriented businessman who doubles as the parliamentary candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party in the Bolgatanga East Constituency of the Upper East Region Mathew Silas Amoah has vowed to produce at least one or two factories for the people of Bolga East with his first four years in office if given the opportunity. Apexnewsgh.com report The Business tycoon, for the first time, made the revelation during his One-on-one engagement with Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen, the editor in Chief of ApexnewsGh.Com on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Mr. who sounds so frank during the exclusive engagement said, that development is key for his people: “No politician would come around and put money in your pockets, no political will do that. So, it is about development, is about creating jobs for our people, is about getting jobs for our youth and our mothers, is about developing human capabilities, that’s politics. So, no politician can come and say in Bolga East I want to give everybody money no, it’s not possible. But what you do in Dabore here probably 10 people can get something out of that. If we are able to set up a rice mill in Dabore, how many of our mothers will be working in the rice factory? If you’re able to even create a standard pure water factory or a bottled water factory in Zuarungu or in Bolga East, how many of our youth will be working in that company? This is what Mathew Amoah is bringing on board”. He was very optimistic that with links and business ideas, Bolga East as a constituency would be a better place to live. He said, all he is pleading from the people of Bolga East is just to give him 4 years. “I want to create something I’m a businessman trust me, I’m a businessman, and with business, Bolga East will develop. I don’t want to say what I will do, we are coming to beg to Bolga East, they should just give us four years, we don’t want to 12 years and wouldn’t want to go 16 years, it doesn’t take a good leader long service period to make an impact”. Referencing Nelson Mandela, Mr. Amoah insists a good leader does not need 12 or 16 years to make the lives of his people better. “Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years he became president of South Africa in three years, the impact Nelson Mandela made in South Africa no one has been able to break that record. He didn’t need a long serving year to make that impact. So, I don’t need a long time, I just need four years to see what we can do to help Bolga East. And if I’m giving the not, I wouldn’t leave as an MP in Bolga East without one or two factories in the constituency”. “This is my home I’m from here I have to make an impact in my community and I will make that impact by the grace of God”. We are not throwing the monies away, we are putting the money in the lives of people—Mathew Silas Amoah’s response to Dr. Dominic Ayine
A well-known business tycoon and NPP aspiring Parliamentary candidate in the Bolgatanga East Constituency Mathew Silas Amoah, has responded to the comment made by the incumbent Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Constituency Dr. Dominic Ayine. A comment Mr. Amoah says bothered him and still bothering him. The incumbent Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East District Constituency Dr. Dominic Ayine while addressing the media after his nomination filing, gave what he claimed to be advice to Mathew Silas Amoah the Parliamentary Candidate for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to spend his money wisely because whether he likes it or not, he Dominic Ayine is going to retain the seat to continue his good mandate. “So please, tell Mathew Amoah my good junior brother wherever he has gotten his money from, he should spend it wisely because am going to retain the seat,” Dr. Ayine said. Meanwhile, speaking to Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of ApexnewsGh during a One-on-one exclusive interview on Sunday, August 27, 2023, Mr. Amoah voiced, “There is a comment I heard that has bothered me and still bothering me. I heard a comment that, wherever am getting my money from I should spend wisely. I have a question for the good people of Upper East Region and the good people of Bolga East”. Further in response to Ayine’s criticism of his wealth, Amoah stated that he has worked hard to achieve his success and believes in the principles of entrepreneurship and free-market capitalism. He believes that his business experience and financial acumen will allow him to make informed decisions and implement effective policies that will promote economic growth and opportunity in the constituency. “Last week or two, our ambulance has been down for some time and our mothers the pregnant women were carrying tricycles across various communities in the district to the clinic. I think A1 reported it and I heard it. We came to fully fund the repairs of the ambulance and I think by the grace of God if is not already on the road by this week, it should be on the road. A number of kids I have helped pay their school fees, I can’t count them, people who are bed ridding in the hospital and can’t even buy drugs, I have helped pay, students barely lying on their stomachs to study, I was able to provide furniture for them, the teacher was drawing a computer on the board to teach kids about a computer, I have been able to provide some computers to some schools”. “If this is not spending wisely, I don’t think keeping money in my account waiting for the last minute to distribute it so that they will vote for me and I will go and come back 4 years again is spending wisely”. I want to respond to that; We are not throwing the money away, we are putting the money in the lives of people. We are paying school fees, we are helping treat the sick. Look, in our part of the region with Ghc 200.00, someone can start a business. I was able to give a woman Ghc 200.00 sometime back, the last time I visited the woman she had a table and I was able to add her Ghc 300.00 and I know the next time I will visit her, she probably will have a small kiosk. So, this is not spending wisely? I should keep the money in Accra, driving a different car in Accra, and bring a different car home to drive, is that spending wisely? Mathew Silas Amoah expresses disappointment over ineffectiveness of NDC MPs in the Upper East Region
Mathew Silas Amoah, a well-known business tycoon and NPP aspiring Parliamentary candidate in the Bolgatanga East Constituency has expressed his disappointment with the NDC Members of Parliament (MPs) in the Upper East Region of Ghana. According to Mr. Amoah, the NDC MPs have not lived up to their promises and have not effectively represented the interests of their constituents. He criticized them for their lack of development projects and their inability to attract investments to the region, leading to a lack of economic growth and job creation. Speaking to Ngamegbulam Chidozie Stephen of ApexnewsGh during a One on One exclusive interview on Sunday, August 27, 2023, the business tycoon said, “I am very very disappointed in our NDC MPs in the Upper East Region” Citing an example with the nature of development going on in Tamale and some other regions, Mr. Amoah said, every MP in the northern region is working so hard to maintain his or her seat by way of lobbying and bringing development to their constituents but in the case of the 14 NDC MPs, they feel so relaxed and unconcerned in making to lobby for development to benefit their people. “Our MPs feel that monopoly, whether we do or not, our people will vote for us”. He stressed However, Mr. Amoah was impressed that dynamics had started changing because people were beginning to realize real politicians with good developmental agendas. He believes “If there is competiveness in our MPship, the development will come because as an MP, I know that if I don’t bring development the people will vote me out. If you vote for Mathew Silas Amoah and I talk too much without doing the work, the next coming 4 years they will replace me with someone else”. “But here, our MPs are so comfortable whether they work or not, last minute they will come and say they should vote for Amatia and they will vote for Amatia”. He said Sharing little experience about his constituency, he said: “People tagged Bolga East as a no-go area. When I came, I heard comments like if a goat wears an NDC flag they will vote for the goat. But today, the conversation is not like that again, meaning if we keep doing what we are doing people are getting enlightened”. He expressed “Politics is about developing people. But if you are there 14 out 15 and this region is still like this? I think they have disappointed the people of Upper East Region” Mr. Amoah however emphasized that the people of the Bolgatanga East Constituency need a change in leadership and that he is the right candidate to bring about the necessary development and progress. He pledged to work tirelessly to improve the lives of the people and ensure that their interests are well-represented at the national level if given the opportunity.
