Ken Ofori-Atta, the Minister of Finance has made a systematic entry into Parliament as he appeared to present the country’s Budget and Financial Statement for the 2024 fiscal year with a newly introduced green bag without his traditional brown bag which has become part him over the years.
The Minister who dressed in his traditional white attire, was warmly accompanied by Deputy Minister Abena Osei Asare and, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, the Minister of State.
The Finance Minister is widely known as a man with much love for brown bags especially anytime he appeared to read the country’s Budget and Financial Statement.
His choice of changing his usual brown bag to a green bag has generated some controversy especially with people asking whether the 2024 budget is coming with something different.
