The trial of Daniel Asiedu, also known as Sexy Don Don, for the murder of Member of Parliament Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu has seen the Investigator in the case, ASP Augustine Nkrumah, describe the accused as “a terrible guy” who is capable of committing murder.

ASP Nkrumah revealed that their investigations pointed to Asiedu as the one who “killed” the late legislator.

Asiedu has pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder and robbery, along with co-accused Vincent Bossu. Under cross-examination, ASP Nkrumah maintained that Asiedu was the one who killed the MP, despite the defense’s suggestion that Asiedu could not physically overpower the deceased due to his size.

The defense counsel also suggested that three individuals impersonating police officers were the real killers of JB Danquah-Adu, but ASP Nkrumah refuted this claim with evidence linking Asiedu to the crime. Items found at the scene of the crime, such as a T-shirt, blood-soaked handkerchief, and knife, were identified by Asiedu and his girlfriend.

While the defense argued that the witnesses were setting up Asiedu, ASP Nkrumah maintained that the accused was the true perpetrator of the crime. The trial judge adjourned the case to February 26, 2024, as ASP Nkrumah continued his testimony as the 8th witness in the ongoing trial led by Principal State Attorney Mrs Sefakor Batse.
