The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to officially launch its campaign in July, according to flag bearer John Dramani Mahama. Apexnewsgh reports
The launch will follow the announcement of the campaign team this week. Mahama made this known at the Volta Regional fundraising dinner in Accra last Saturday.
The former President expressed confidence in the party’s chances, stating that after the campaign launch, there will be no turning back until the December 7 elections. He urged party faithful to work towards achieving a resounding victory, likening the country’s current state to an abyss that requires serious thinking to change its fortunes.
Mahama commended the Volta Region for its critical role in the “rescue crusade” and encouraged executives and party members to double their efforts, aiming for at least 90% of the vote in the region. He praised the party’s proactivity and assured that their hard work will be rewarded on December 7.
Industrialist and philanthropist Kwamigah Tanko Atokple, who chaired the occasion, emphasized the need for collective effort, urging all Voltarians to contribute towards securing victory for the party. He stressed that no individual or group can achieve this alone, and encouraged all to contribute their “widow’s mite” towards the cause.
