In a rally concluding his constituency connect tour in the North, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP presidential candidate, made a bold pledge to prioritize the long-awaited Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam project if elected in December. Apexnewsgh reports

The project, stalled for nearly five years, aims to alleviate flooding in northern Ghana and provide a reliable water source for farming and electricity generation.

Dr. Bawumia assured supporters that he would ensure the project’s completion, addressing the disappointment and frustration of residents who have yet to see the expected benefits.

Additionally, he announced plans to construct an airport in the Upper East Region, further demonstrating his commitment to the area’s development.

As part of his agricultural transformation agenda, Dr. Bawumia outlined plans to establish district mechanization centers, providing farmers with access to essential equipment, and create an agricultural enclave at the Tono Irrigation Scheme to enhance productivity and support local farmers.
