Apexnewsgh

At a stakeholders’ sensitization program for the SME Growth and Opportunity (SME GO) program, Anita Solomon, an official of the Development Bank Ghana (DBG), highlighted the bank’s partnership with financial institutions to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Apexnewsgh reports

To access DBG funds, SMEs must be registered businesses with good financial standing and a proven track record of paying taxes.

They must also operate in one of the listed sectors and meet the eligibility criteria set by DBG and its partner financial institutions.

In the northern region, DBG has partnered with Bonsaley and Sons Rural Bank, Opportunity International, Advanced Savings Loans, and CBG to provide access to finance for SMEs.

Madam Anita emphasized that DBG works through financial institutions, making it essential for SMEs to go through these partners to access funds.

SMEs must satisfy the requirements of both DBG and the financial institution they are applying through. Madam Anita further encouraged SMEs to take advantage of the SME GO program, which aims to support the growth and development of SMEs in Ghana.
