The High Court has made a decision regarding the disqualification of Bernard Mornah from the upcoming presidential election. Apexnewsgh reports

Bernard Mornah, who is the flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), had his application to overturn his disqualification dismissed by the High Court.

The Electoral Commission cited irregularities in his nomination forms as the primary reason for his disqualification. This ruling effectively prevents Mornah from pursuing further legal avenues to contest his disqualification, posing additional challenges for the PNC as the December elections approach.

The decision to disqualify Mornah has sparked intense debate within Ghana’s political landscape and raised concerns about the fairness and transparency of the electoral process. It has also created a difficult situation for the PNC, which now has limited time to regroup ahead of the polls.

In addition to Mornah, other disqualified aspirants include Kofi Asamoah Siaw of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Janet Nabla of the People’s National Party (PNP), and independent candidates Nana Stephens Adjepong and Paul Perkoh.

The disqualifications have added a new layer of complexity to the upcoming presidential election in Ghana.
