Edibeck Consult is set to lead 108 Ghanaian students and chaperones on its flagship “Europe Summer Camp and Educational Tour.” As excitement builds, participants are preparing for a transformative three-week journey that promises to broaden horizons and foster international connections.
During a Pre-Departure Briefing held in Accra, Managing Director Kwadwo Obiri Ampong illuminated the vision behind this year’s theme, “Bridging Cultures, Building Futures.” He emphasized the program’s vital role in enhancing education, encouraging cultural exchange, and providing global exposure to Ghanaian youth.
Launched six years ago in collaboration with Summer Camps Holland, the program has witnessed remarkable growth, expanding from just 13 participants in 2019 to an impressive 108 this year. “Our mission has always been to promote education, cultural exchange, tourism, innovation, and technology for youth development,” Ampong elaborated in an exclusive interview. “The growth reflects the increasing demand for transformative experiences that empower young Ghanaians to compete on a global stage.”
Ampong showcased the program’s comprehensive approach, which sets it apart from local alternatives. The carefully crafted itinerary will take participants through the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France, featuring:
Intensive language courses, including a Dutch immersion program
Workshops on artificial intelligence, sustainability, and entrepreneurship
Visits to universities aimed at fostering cultural diplomacy
Engagements with cutting-edge technology in global innovation hubs
This multi-faceted experience offers participants a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in Europe’s educational and cultural landscapes. “Europe’s summer camps provide a multi-dimensional model that integrates education, culture, and innovation in ways that are hard to replicate locally,” Mr. Ampong explained. “This immersion equips our youth with the skills and perspectives to thrive globally.”
This year’s travel plans feature dual departures, with an advance team leaving on the night of July 25, followed by the main group on July 26. Participants were primarily selected through partner schools, with open applications available online, ensuring a wide-reaching impact.
Demonstrating a commitment to social responsibility, Edibeck Consult has also fully funded four “smart-but-needy” students to participate this year. “While the program is parent-funded, our corporate social responsibility ensures we support deserving students annually,” Ampong noted.
With Ghanaian flags proudly displayed at the briefing venue, Ampong urged students to embrace their cultural identity during their travels. “Represent Ghana unapologetically,” he stated passionately. “When our students wore kente at the Eiffel Tower, they sparked global curiosity. True progress comes from embracing your roots while absorbing new perspectives.”
This empowering message resonated deeply with participants like Kofi Mensah, a prospective university student. “The MD’s call to be cultural ambassadors shifted my mindset. I’m not just visiting Europe – I’m showcasing Ghana’s brilliance,” he shared.
As Edibeck Consult sends its largest cohort yet on this life-changing journey, the “Europe Summer Camp” program is redefining youth development in Ghana.
By blending cultural pride with global exposure, it not only bridges cultures but also lays the groundwork for a brighter, more connected future for these young ambassadors of Ghana. The journey ahead promises to be not only an adventure through Europe but also a significant step toward transforming dreams into achievable realities.
