Accusations Fly as NDC Deputy Secretary Claims NPP Engages in Vote-Buying Tactics

Apexnewsgh

In a spirited mini-rally held in the heart of Ejisu on August 29, 2024, the Deputy National Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Mustapha Gbande, made a startling accusation against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He claimed that the NPP was allegedly resorting to vote-buying tactics by distributing marijuana to the youth in the Ejisu Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

Mr. Gbande asserted that the NPP had strategically targeted known marijuana users, approaching them at various illegal smoking spots throughout the area. This controversial allegation, he argued, was part of a broader scheme aimed at swaying the votes of young constituents ahead of the upcoming elections.

As tensions rise in the political landscape, Mr. Gbande’s claims have sparked discussions among community members, drawing attention to the lengths to which parties may go in their quest for electoral success.

The rally served as a platform not only for accusations but also for rallying support for the NDC as they prepare for the electoral battle ahead.
