Akufo-Addo assured the nation that every corruption allegation against his administration was thoroughly investigated and dismissed where necessary.

The outgoing president proudly pointed to the establishment of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) as a major milestone in his government’s anti-corruption agenda. Despite initial doubts, the OSP has gained recognition as an effective institution promoting transparency and accountability.

“Through robust reforms and unwavering commitment, we’ve strengthened structures to enhance transparency and accountability,” Akufo-Addo stated, expressing optimism about the sustainability of these efforts beyond his presidency.

On the economic front, Akufo-Addo expressed confidence in Ghana’s recovery, noting that the economy has exceeded initial expectations despite global and domestic challenges.

This sentiment is echoed by the Ministry of Finance, which reports that Ghana’s economy continues to exceed expectations, with a remarkable average real GDP growth rate of 6.3% for the first three quarters of 2024.
