Members of the NDC representative in parliament has divided views over Speaker’s decision to refer three majority MPs to the Privileges Committee for their continuous absence in Parliament.
As the Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, applaud the Speaker of Parliament for his decision to refer three Majority MPs to the Privileges Committee for their continuous absence in Parliament, the Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak also believe the Speaker decision was unfair to the Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo.
According to him, the MP had undertaken due process to seek a leave of absence from the Speaker before leaving the country for the United States of America to handle some personal issues.
During Parliamentary proceedings on Tuesday, Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, referred the three members of the House to the Privileges Committee, for their continuous absence in Parliament.
