President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has nominated Rex Asanga as the next Municipal Chief Executive for the people of Bolgatanga Municipal of the Upper East Region.
Before now, President nominee Mr. Asanga has contested the Parliamentary seat twice under the ticket of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP). He contested the 2016 and 2020 parliamentary election in the Bolgatanga Municipal and unfortunately lost the two elections
However, the 2020 election saw a slight increase in the vote cast in his favor during the last elections as far as Bolgatanga Municipal election history is concerned.
Mr. Asanga, is one of the new faces nominated by President Akufo-Addo to make his second administration work better at the Municipal level.
